Give the Gift of Independence

You Cane Give Initiative: Non-profit for the Blind!

YCG logo consisting of a circular logo with a black border. Inside, there is a depiction of the Earth with the continents visible in green and the oceans in blue. Over the Earth, there are two hands shaking, one is light-skinned and the other is dark-skinned. The handshake is positioned over Africa and Europe. A white cane, symbolizing blindness, is integrated into the handshake as part of the light-skinned hand's wrist. Above the Earth and handshake, the text reads "YOU CANE GIVE INITIATIVE".

Join the Movement and Further the Impact

In countries like Mexico, China, India, and South Africa, people do not have access to the proper tools to empower independence and success. YCG collects donated canes to refurbish and deliver to individuals with vision impairments and vision loss all over the world. One donation can change the course of someone’s life.

U.S. Initiatives

YCG recognizes the impact of vision loss in our own backyard and not just globally. Approximately 195,000 Tennesseans are blind or visually impaired, struggling to see even with glasses. Vision impairment, a prevalent disability among older adults, significantly impacts physical and cognitive health. Around 12 million older Americans face vision loss, with cases expected to double by 2050. The CDC reports that vision impairment costs the U.S. $145 billion annually with 70% unemployed, highlighting the severity of the issue. Therefore, YCG provides support to individuals locally, throughout the state, and across the nation who face similar challenges to those encountered internationally.
