YCG’s goal is to provide over 100 canes with extra tips and White Cane First Aid Kits to a school for the blind and organization in Liberia. Here are some pix and videos of what folks are using now to try to be independent. Our contact in Liberia shared the following:

“As a follow-up to our appeal for the donation of white canes, I am sending you photos of some of our students who have to travel several miles to get to school, many of them are using reeds or sticks to navigate their communities.”

The “white cane famine” is real. You and I can make a difference. Help us as we accept donated canes, restored damaged canes, and support the shipping/expenses that will allow us to provide this simple but ultimate tool of autonomy and independence!
