About You Cane Give Initiative
Who We Are
You Cane Give (YCG) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Jimmy and Wendy Boehm. We provide mobility canes, white cane first aid kids, solar-powered, talking Bible players (that also contain mobility instruction), and other resources to individuals, schools, and missionary partners around the world.
Much of the world is experiencing a “white cane famine,” and our organization focuses on geographic areas with the greatest needs. The You Cane Give Initiative sends teams to various countries to provide a suite of services: canes, audio Bibles, mobility training, restoration materials for the canes, and mental health services.

Our Mission
YCG’s mission is to educate, equip, and train the blind community, therefore instilling a sense of hope and purpose as contributing members of society.
Many visually impaired citizens are unaware of the vital tools, resources, and training that are available for the blind. Vision loss can create a sense of isolation for individuals experiencing vision loss, as well as their families. Friends of YCG who donate canes and those who lend their hands to restore them hope to change that, to send the gift of independence to those who need it.
What We Do
YCG supports adults, students, parents of blind children, and others adjusting to vision loss by providing canes, mentoring groups, and education on the importance of mental health.
YCG collaborates with local, state, national, and international organizations that provide networks, relationships, and services crucial for life adjustment, both locally and internationally. Such support for the blind, whether young or old, creates opportunities for them to achieve independence. This support also educates the community that the blind are capable of contributing to making a stronger, prosperous society.
